Woolpert is seeking a Project Manager with prior experience in traffic studies, traffic capacity analysis, safety studies, operational simulation analysis, signal design, timing plans, geometric design, construction documents, and planning in Ohio. Based in Columbus or Dayton, OH, this dynamic person will be involved in business strategy development and business development, as well as direct and manage large/complex projects.  Key duties include marketing transportation clients and coordinating with design team, contractors and municipal officials to assure quality deliverables, completed on schedule and within budget. This position will help lead the growth of the traffic, planning, and transportation design business in Ohio as well as assist on projects in other states by providing design services and working with staff to develop detailed deliverables. The position is intended to play a part in the continued growth of Woolpert’s transportation practice company-wide.

Candidate must have a proven track record of building strong relationships with potential clients and provide exceptional project delivery to existing clients. Candidate should be known in industry affiliated professional organizations and groups and have a solid track record of managing technically diverse internal teams and managing projects to profitability. Work experiences and client relationships with local and state agencies in the Ohio are also desired. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in traffic analysis and design, and project management; a BS in Civil Engineering; and an Ohio PE with the ability to obtain PE licensure in other states. Professional traffic operations engineer (PTOE) certification preferred.  Experience with managing project teams and business development in Ohio is strongly preferred. Previous design experience with MicroStation and Geopak or Autocad Civil 3d, as well as traffic software such as Synchro or HCS is required.
